Remote Online Notarization
Remote Online Notarization
With remote notarization(RON), a signer personally appears before the Notary at the time of the notarization using audio-visual technology over the internet instead of being physically present in the same room. Remote online notarization is also called webcam notarization, online notarization or virtual notarization.Â
Manga's Notary Service LLC is now providing remote, online notary services. Here's how it works:
1. Contact us to make an appointment. Before our meeting, you email the document to me (in PDF or Word format) so I can prepare it for electronic signature and notarization. I'll send you information about the online notarization process and a link to a short video explaining how it works.
2. We meet through Notarize (using your computer or a mobile device like a smart phone or tablet). First, the system takes you through a brief procedure to securely verify your identity. Then you click on a link you'll get by email to open the document. The system will guide you through the document, indicating how to place your electronic signature on it.
3. I watch you sign the document, then I place my electronic signature and notary stamp on it. You'll be able to easily download the notarized document in PDF format.
4. Special rules for wills. If you need to have a will or codicil notarized, this cannot be done by remote online notarization. We will need to meet in person. I am happy to come to your home or office or meet you at a public place.
